Mon journal du monde
DESIGNING A JOURNAL | TAKING ACTION WITH IMAGES
Mon Journal du Monde is a weekly workshop run in junior high schools on a school-time or extracurricular basis. It is overseen by an artist or image specialist working in association with the teaching team. As a lead-up to designing their journal, the teenage students work through the chain of production, circulation and reception of images, and meet with professionals. Using photos they have taken or collected, they create a montage combining personal pictures with those involving a shared story, while also defining the journal's editorial emphasis and layout, and the interconnections between photography and text. On ERSILIA, the young students become ambassadors for their project.
In 2020-2021, « Seeing is believing, proof through images? » is the theme of the program.
