Exhibition of young people's creations at LE BAL / La Fabrique du Regard
This year, 1,100 schoolchildren, college students and high school students from 35 establishments and partner structures, spread across 10 academies, took up the theme of "Voir et être vu·e·s: l'image pour exister ?" (Seeing and being seen: the image to exist?) as part of the programmes of La Fabrique du Regard, LE BAL's educational platform.
What roles do photographs and videos play in the construction and affirmation of oneself?
How are they essential to exist in others' eyes and to be part of the regime of media visibility? Is it possible to escape injunctions and stereotypes?
Is "Who am I?" inseparable from "How do you see me?"
This is the approach taken by the 1,100 young people involved this year in the programmes of La Fabrique du Regard, LE BAL's educational platform, who have been thinking in images to create films, publications, digital journeys and sound creations... guided by some thirty young artists (visual artists, photographers, video artists...) and invited professionals.
