From June 3 to 8, 2025, LA FABRIQUE DU REGARD – THE FESTIVAL returns for its third edition at LE BAL.

Bringing together an engaging program of exhibitions, screenings, performances, and workshops, the third edition of La Fabrique du Regard – The Festival showcases the creations made this year by 1,800 young participants of La Fabrique du Regard, the educational branch of LE BAL, in collaboration with guest artists, all centered around the theme "The Image, a Power for Action."

TUESDAY, JUNE 3

9:30 am – 12:00 pm: Opening ceremony with the participation of the youth, artists, and partners

10:00 – 10:30 – 11:00 am: Participatory image education workshops led by the LE BAL / La Fabrique du Regard team

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4

12:00 pm: Exhibition opens to the public

3:30 pm: In Search of the Image, a creative workshop by artist Marie Sommer
Through exploration of visual archives—anonymous, institutional, or from recent news—participants are invited to construct speculative narratives using photographic collage and composition.

7:30 – 8:15 pm: mira•anemo•ia•polis, a performance by students from the École nationale supérieure d’arts de Paris-Cergy – ENSAPC and ESSEC Business School
mira•anemo•ia•polis is a generative AI-based video game and performance, designed as an online urban exploration. Players navigate a virtual reconstruction of the former Mirapolis theme park in the new town of Cergy-Pontoise, piecing together its memory through fragmented testimonies from past visitors.

A project by Guillaume Chevillon (Metalab for Data, Technology & Society, ESSEC) and Jeff Guess (Algorithmic Practices, ENSAPC), under the artistic direction of Nicolas Gourault and Elouan Le Bars.

9:00 am – 12:00 pm: La Fabrique du Regard - The Festival hosts professionals from the fields of artistic and cultural education for a presentation of the youth and artist collaborations.
Participatory workshop on the challenges of AI in image education practices.

SATURDAY, JUNE 7

12:00 pm: Exhibition opens to the public

4:00 – 5:30 pm: In Search of the Image, a family workshop by artist Marie Sommer
Marie Sommer invites you to a workshop on creating speculative fiction through image editing. Through the exploration of visual archives—anonymous, institutional, or from recent news—participants will bring to life visual allegories and anticipatory stories through collage and photographic arrangements.

7:00 – 11:00 pm: Nuit Blanche 2025
Soudain parmi les autres, a screening of films and videos by the students of Clément Cogitore’s atelier at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris

Between free-form fiction and fragmentary documentary, the films presented explore contemporary uses of the image as a space of resistance, doubt, and address. Drawing from the diary format, reportage, amateur cinema, or found footage, they question our relationship to the visible, the archive, and narrative.

The festival is free to attend, and workshops are free with prior registration.
Participation in Nuit Blanche 2025 on Saturday, June 7.

During La Fabrique du Regard – The Festival, the exhibition is open to the public with free entry during the following hours:
