Mon œil !
Confronting one’s representations | Exploring a territory
Mon Œil! is intended for students in general, technical and professional high schools.
The first workshop comprises screenings of short documentaries and the issues raised by the moving image. In the second phase, students reflect in class on what is at stake in actually publishing photography in books or the press, or on the Internet. Then they discover the work of a photographer and its spatial presentation in an exhibition at LE BAL.
The fourth workshop offers teacher and pupils two possibilities: a meeting with an image professional, or a research and creation workshop with an artist. The choice here depends on the class project and the school in question.
In 2020-2021, « Seeing is believing, proof through images? » is the theme of the program.
