How the cinematographic image can be the witness of an invisible disaster ?

In the experimental cinema field, many directors submit the photochemical substance to a gradual obliteration by the environmental components. In front of the actual environmental issues breadth, due to nuclear - radioactive waste, soil pollution, nuclear power stations vulnerability, Fukushima disaster...- the radioactive mater is a hot topic in the contemporary artistic creation.
The screeening of movies by Emmanuel Lefrant, Tomonari Nishikawa, Jennifer Reeves and James Schneider will be followed by a performance by Jade Gomes and Maxime Fuhrer from the collective "Scotcheuses". They will present their current project, on the area of Bure (Meuse), future nuclear landfill site.

With Jade Gomes and Maxime Fuhrer, directors and Emmanuel Lefrant, director and scheduler.

In line with Matérialismes à l’œuvre, organized by the École normale supérieure, the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3 and LE BAL.
