Bodies matter and body facing matter

Which matter are we made of ? How does our materiality interacts with what surrounds us ?
The discussion will follow three movies : Element (1972), Under the Skin (2013) and Mue(s) (2014). In Element, Amy Greenfield recorded her own naked body, immersed into a mud puddle. The movie presents itself both as an textural and touch-sensitive study, an active feminine nude and as the result of the transformations, by a certain matter on the human body.
In Under the Skin, Jonathan Glazer recorded the oddness of corporeal matter, compared to as bizarre matters : bright and thick whiteness, bath of a sparkling and deadly blackness. In Mue(s), Frédérique Menant questions the matter and shape of feminine bodies, which seem to sheid their skins once the plaster detached itself...
