DISCUSSION BETWEEN PAOLA YACOUB AND CATHERINE DAVID
Wednesday 14 december 2011 at 7PM

Paola Yacoub, Syrians with flowers, Beirut, 2003

We can know nothing about the tragic events that took place on the sites photographed in Lebanon. And, for a reason: a blanket amnesty from the actors of the civil war has forbidden access to the recent history of the city. This deceptive situation permits to explore the photographic ratings of Lebanese territory in a decidedly skeptical view, imposed by the circumstances.
