Meeting with the photographers of Magnum : Peter Van Agtmael, Newsha Tavakolian, Patrick Zachmann and the journalist and director Paul Moreira.

Following the release of the first edition of Magnum Chronicles, the photographers of Magnum Peter van Agtmael, Newsha TavakolianPatrick Zachmann and Paul Moreira discuss about the influence of Daech on our lives and question on the potentials representations of acts of terrorism.

A Brief Visual History in the Time of ISIS, supported by the Newspaper Club, initiated and conceived by Peter van Agtmael, contains an essay and chronology by Peter Harling, Middle-East specialist, member of International Crisis Group and founder of Synaps, as well as the work of 19 photographers, produced during the last years of the french mandate for Syria in 1941 and during the fall of Mossoul in 2017.

Magnum Chronicles compare specialists analysis and images by Magnum Photos photographers.  

The meeting will be preceded by a book signing with the photographers of Magnum : Susan Meiselas, En première ligne, éditions Xavier Barral, 2017, Bieke Depoorter, As it may be, Aperture, 2018, Mark Power, Maintenance, Seigensha, 2018 and Olivia Arthur Stranger, Fishbar Books, 2015 at BAL Books at 7 PM. Alex Majoli will sign his work Andante, Cesura, 2018 at 9 PM.
