Talk with Mark Lewis and Chantal Pontbriand

Saturday February 7, 2015 - 11:30 AM

The Pitch, 1998

Mark Lewis

Mark Lewis discusses with Chantal Pontbriand and Diane Dufour, curators of the exhibition Mark Lewis - Above and Below

"Through my work, I tried to think about inventions purely cinematographic, about those things which are peculiar to movies and that can't be find anywhere else. Those inventions have often been the result of multiple requirements, commercial in many cases, or of coincidences. But here they are and to the extent that they exist, we can separate them from cinema, isolate them, produce them as objects which own a value"  M. L.

The talk will be followed by a book-signing of the catalogue at the bookshop.
