Fanzine Dummies #2 - Appel à participation

Pour participer, il suffit de nous envoyer un PDF de la maquette finalisée du projet photographique (maximum 30 pages, couleur ou noir et blanc, format A3 maximum) avant le dimanche 21 août 2022. Le projet gagnant ainsi que ceux des cinq photographes shortlisté.es seront dévoilés sur les plateformes du BAL durant le week-end du festival. En 2020, la photographe Claire Zaniolo avait remporté le premier concours avec son projet mourning, march and celebration.

Envoyez dès maintenant votre maquette finalisée au format PDF à l'adresse balbooks@le-bal.fr avec l'objet "Participation fanzine". Pour information, le projet sera imprimé uniquement en 100 copies (risographie ou digital selon le projet) par un imprimeur de notre choix en France sous un format fanzine (agrafé ou rélié) selon les modalités préétablies par LE BAL Books. Seules les maquettes finalisées seront prises en compte pour le concours, en leur état. Le gagnant recevra 70 des 100 copies et 30 copies seront déposées au BAL pour vente et archive.

LE BAL Books is organizing the fourth edition of the Rolling Paper book fair at LE BAL on September 24th and 25th 2022. On this occasion, we are launching again an open call to photographers, without geographical or age limit, to try and win the printing of their fanzine. To apply, simply send us a PDF with the dummy of the photographic project (maximum 30 pages, color or black and white, maximum A3 format) before Sunday August 21rd 2022. The winning project as well as those of the five shortlisted photographers will be unveiled during the festival weekend. In 2020, photographer Claire Zaniolo won with her project mourning, march and celebration.

Send your finalized dummy book now in PDF format to balbooks@le-bal.fr with the subject "Fanzine open call". The project will be printed in 100 copies only (risography or digital depending on the project) by a printer of our choice in France in a fanzine format (stapled or bound). Only finalized dummies will be taken into account, without possible modification further down the line. The winner will receive 70 of the 100 copies and 30 copies will be deposited at the BAL for sale and archive. Good luck !
