Antoine d'Agata : into a worldwide workshop

Conference by Léa Bismuth
Wednesday April 3rd, 2013 - 8 PM

Antoine d’Agata - Magnum photos / Courtesy Galerie Les filles du calvaire

Maybe the artistic horizons in Antoine d'Agata's work can be find in the history of painting...

This open discussion will try to get closer to an intuitive and free reading of Agata's work, by evoking painters of the night and body like Goya, Manet, Cranach [...] " whose obsession expresses the fever, the desire, the urge" (Georges Bataille, Les Larmes d'Éros).

Léa Bismuth is an art critic, curator and lecturer of art history. She published textes since 2006 in artpress pages or in other medium.
