Born in 1962 in Bela Horizone, Rosângela Rennó is one of the major Brazilian photographers.

Her work focuses on the appropriation of images through installations, objects, books and amateur photographs. The Fotomuseum of Winterthur and the Fondation Gulbenkian of Lisboa devoted a retrospective to her in 2012. Since 2008, she dedicates a part of her artistic production to the creation of books related to the disappearance of historical photography collections. Her last book, A01 [COD.19.1.1.43] - A27 [S | COD.23], has been rewarded in 2013 with the "Prix du livre historique" in Arles and with the Aperture/Paris Photo award.

Jacinto Lageira is an art critic, and a professor of aesthetics (Université Paris I - Panthéon-Sorbonne).
