FROM RISK ANALYSIS TO ARCHITECTURE, FROM BIOMETRICS TO VIDEO GAMES, ALGORITHMS, COMPUTER GRAPHICS AND 3D SIMULATIONS ARE USED UBIQUITOUSLY IN EVERYDAY LIFE.

Laliv Melamed is an associate researcher at the Goethe University of Frankfurt and a curator specialized in the fields of film and media. She works on emerging media and is particularly interested in security and military aspects and operational images. She is in charge of the programming of the DocAviv film festival.

Artist, filmmaker, writer, Zach Blas is a researcher at the Department of Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths London University. He is one of the winners of the 2016 Creative Capital Award in the Emerging Fields and Arts and Humanities Research Council Leadership Fellow category.

As part of Machine Vision: images, power, algorithms – Research cycle designed by LE BAL, the ENS and the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3.
