Clément Cogitore / Prix LE BAL de la jeune création avec l'ADAGP

The jury, LE BAL and ADAGP are pleased to announce the laureate for LE BAL award for young artists with the ADAGP : Clément Cogitore with Braguino, a photographic and filmic journey, in an  « impossible community » and recluse in the heart of Siberian forest. In autumn 2017, the two years will culminate in an exhibition of the laureate’s work across the two spaces at LE BAL and a publication co-edited by LE BAL and Filigranes Editions.

After the Carte blanche PMU and the Prix des Ecoles d’Art with SFR, LE BAL is going one step further to support the production of creative work in the long term. Welcome to the first edition of the LE BAL AWARD FOR YOUNG ARTISTS with the ADAGP.
This award is open to all photographers and/or videographers resident in Europe and under 40 years of age. LE BAL will support the laureate in completing an already-initiated creative project over a two year period. Priority will be given to projects falling under the broad spectrum of the documentary image, still and motion, representing diverse world hypotheses, positions, and constructions of human experience.

The laureate will receive a grant of 20,000 euros to complete their project.
Sitting on the judging panel, chaired by Diane Dufour, the director of LE BAL, are: Hugues Aubry, patron; Mohamed Bourouissa, artist; Daniel Buren, artist, board member of the ADAGP; Alain Fleischer, cinematographer and artist-photographer; Vincent Josse, journalist; Patrick Le Bescont, director of Filigranes Editions; Laurent Le Bon, president of the Musée Picasso, and Meret Meyer, board member of the ADAGP. The jury reunited on 9th december 2015.
