Performance by DD Dorvillier and Catherine Meurisse
In line with the eleventh occasion of Concordan(s)e, the itinerant festival invites writers and choreographers who don't know each others to share a creation project.
Catherine Meurisse, illustrator and DD Dorvillier, choreographer, first met in Rome in 2015. They both share a fascination for a group of statues in the Villa Medicis garden, the Niobids, these on-the-run characters. From this common experience, they began a discussion on art and on the representation of movement by drawing, dancing or writing.
After she founded the Matzoh Factory in 1989, a recognized research and experimentation studio in Brooklyn, DD Dorvillier, choreographer, dancer and teacher, pursues her practice in France with the troupe human future dance corps.
Catherine Meurisse is a press cartoonist, graphic novels author and child books illustrator.
