Génération Tian'anmen

À l’occasion de l’anniversaire du massacre de Tian’anmen, le 4 juin 1989, il s’entretient avec Pierre Haski, directeur de Rue89, journaliste et ancien correspondant de Libération à Pékin. Le mouvement démocratique, violemment réprimé, qui impliqua étudiants, ouvriers, intellectuels, reste à ce jour encore occulté par les autorités et les jeunes générations n’ont souvent qu’une connaissance  limitée voire inexistante de ce « Printemps de Pékin ». Le web-documentaire Génération Tian'anmen, réalisé par Patrick Zachmann pour le 20^e anniversaire du « 35 mai », sera diffusé au cours de cette soirée.

On the occasion of the anniversary of the Tian'anmen Square protests the 4th of June 1989, Zachmann discusses with Pierre Haski, editor-in-chief of Rue89, journalist and former reporter in Beijing for Libération. The democratic movement, violently repressed, which involved students, workers, intellectuals, remains to this day occulted by the authorities and the youth only have a weak and restricted knowledge of the "Chinese Spring". The web-documentary Génération Tian'anmen, directed by Patrick Zachmann for the 20th birthday of the "May 35" will be screened.

The meeting will be preceded by a book signing at 7:30 PM at BAL BOOKS of So Long, China by Patrick Zachmann, published with Éditions Xavier Barral.
